Capabilities

Carol Dekkers is known for her innovative, entertaining and content rich keynote presentations.  Her ability to translate complex technical information into easily understood concepts through proven knowledge transfer principles is one of her talents and a rare skill for a technically trained engineer.  Ms. Dekkers demonstrates what she teaches - communication doesn't have to be boring or technobabble to effectively transfer information to audiences.

Ms. Dekkers has spoken in over 25 countries, including North America, Brazil, Australia, Europe, and throughout Asia.  Her understanding of English idioms and other anomolies has made her a popular presenter in both English and non-native English speaking countries and to translators throughout the world.  Carol's philosophy can be summed up by her statement "As more and more of my audiences listen to me with their second or third language, I like to show respect by speaking my first language (English) in a way that they can understand.  This means that I speak slowly, enunciate clearly, avoid idioms, and say the same thing in several ways.  In fact, in some locations people have dropped their headsets because my English was easier to understand than the translation in their own language!"
